The Middle School Afterschool Program is run by passionate teachers committed to providing a safe, interesting, enriching and intellectually challenging environment for our students.
Our program revolves around three key elements:
1. Education and academics
2. Physical activities, including sports
3. Creative and artistic endeavors
We strive to have fun, while also learning and improving.
The Middle School Afterschool Program is housed on the southside of the Windrush gym building. There is a central meeting room outfitted with stereo, refrigerator, couches, open tables, and art supplies. Students have access to the gym facility, computer lab and sports equipment, as well as art supplies. Students are allowed to play outside on the basketball court.
A quiet supervised Study Support is required on Mondays. Study Support provides an excellent opportunity for students to stay on top of daily homework and long-term assignments. An optional Homework Club is offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Daily activities may include cooking projects in the kitchen, art activities in the MSAS room, and sports and games outside or in the gym.
