About the WFA

Welcome to the Windrush Family Association (WFA)! The Windrush Family Association has many programs that support our school's fundraising efforts and provide a chance to cultivate our sense of community. Please see our Events web page for our upcoming fundraisers and community gatherings. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role for the 2010-2011 year, please contact Maya Varian.

What is a WFA Class Representative?

  • Serve as a central communicator for the class through regular group emails
  • Organize a class potluck on behalf of your class
  • Recruits and organizes volunteers for your class' assigned WFA event
  • Coordinates teacher gifts
  • Coordinates or finds someone to coordinate a class basket for the Spring Gala
  • Recruits a room parent if needed (K-5 only)
  • Communicates with parents organizing field trips, overnight drivers, class events as needed (6-8)

WFA Meetings

Have an idea you want to share or change within the Windrush community? Please come to our WFA meetings, which will take place through out the year. Here is a list of dates:

November 3, 2010 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.

January 12, 2011 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.

April 6, 2011 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Parent Work Hours!

Did you know that every Windrush family is required to contribute 20 hours each year, 10 of which we hope will be for the Windrush Parent/Family Association?
