In Kindergarten we are learning how to go to school. Young children learn best through their own experiences and via their own interests and curiosity. In Kindergarten the children are learning through playing, singing, observing, interacting, cooking, building, reading, pretend reading and sound spelling. The children experience and explore their environment and learn to ask and answer questions. We talk about our experiences and learn how to reflect upon them. We learn to enjoy what is the same and different about ourselves and others. Children learn responsibility and how to clean up after themselves. They explore their interests. They develop the desire to acquire and practice skills in order to pursue their interests. Above all, kindergarten is a time for joyful exploration.
