Emergency Campaign – On September 30, 2012, Windrush School filed a petition for relief and protection under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code and began a fundraising campaign that has raised $867,000 to date to help the school continue operations. The Board of Trustees is pleased to report that our school will remain open on the campus through the 2011-2012 school year, funded by tuition payments and pledges to the Emergency Campaign.
The Bonnie Whitler Fund – The Bonnie Whitler Fund honors long-time Windrush School Director of Finance and Operations, Bonnie Whitler, for her dedication to the school and its students. Gifts to the Fund will go to provide tuition assistance to families in need.
The Matt Ellinger Fund for Faculty & Staff Professional Development – Named in honor of former Windrush teacher, Matt Ellinger, gifts to the Fund help name help underwrite professional development and training for Windrush faculty and staff.
Restricted Gifts
Gifts of $5,000 or more may be designated by the donor for a specific purpose, provided the purpose is a priority of the school as set out in the strategic plan or as identified by the Board of Trustees.
