The Expanding Horizons Campaign

In 2008, Windrush School debuted the most significant building project in its history. Our new building-constructed with sustainable design principles-houses seven middle school classrooms and a K-8 library.

With the completion of this vital project, Windrush School must raise $1.5 million to:

  • enhance the program of one of the finest progressive K-8 schools in the Bay Area.
  • increase tuition assistance to a wider range of families.
  • strengthen our ability to recruit and retain exceptional faculty.
  • moderate future tuition increases.

What differentiates this from the Annual Giving Campaign?

Annual giving supports annual operating expenses. The Expanding Horizons Campaign is an investment in Windrush's future. The Expanding Horizons Campaign is a three-year effort started during the 2007-08 school year to raise $1.5M to provide a stable financial base for the school's growth.

Isn't fundraising for the wealthy?

Great institutions have been built from modest gifts of many generous donors. Every family can donate at a level that is meaningful.
