WINDRUSH FAMILY SURVEY–By now you should have received an email that includes this link for completing a spring Parent/Guardian Survey. This year we decided to use the survey produced by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). The Board of Trustees and the Head of School will use the data for continual efforts to improve the Windrush experience for your children. The questions should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and should be submitted by June 13. The email has more information on completing the survey. Thank you so much for sharing your perspective!

ALL WINDRUSH FAMILIES GAVE TO THE ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN! You did it! This means the school qualifies for an additional $55,000 in matching funds from the Challenge Fund. Congratulations. With your help, these funds are already at work to help Windrush School provide students with an experience that enables them to thrive in whatever future awaits them.

HELP BUILD ROBUST SCHOOL COMMUNITY–The Windrush Family Association is looking for a few volunteers for the 2011-2012 school year. We need volunteers to be 5th and 6th  Grade representatives, and for an individual to serve as the WFA liaison to the Board of Trustees. We are also eager for a few volunteers to help lead the fall’s Harvest Fair and the Farm Stand. Please email Ann Root by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10 with interest.

JUNE 10 IS DEADLINE FOR 2011-2012 FORMS–A packet was mailed out May 27 with your 2011-2012 school calendar as well as health and emergency forms. Please fill out and return all forms to the Front Office by June 10.

FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE–Please be sure to check your email and set up your TADS tuition management accounts for 2011-2012.  If you haven’t received an email from TADS, please contact Rico Hernandez at extension 211. Thank you!

BUDDIES FOR NEW FAMILIES–The Admissions Office will email some returning families shortly to request their service as a Buddy Family, which will pair them up with a new family entering this fall. Our purpose is to welcome families and help them feel comfortable as they enter the Windrush community. We will ask Buddy Families to contact their buddy a few times between now and the opening of school in August, and then again a week or so after classes begin. Invite our newest Dragons to fall events, welcome their questions, even arrange a play date!  If you would like to volunteer as a Buddy Family or have questions, please email David Bond. Thanks!

EQUIPMENT DRIVE FOR NEXT YEAR’S OVERNIGHT TRIPS!  We are collecting gently used hiking boots, winter jackets, sleeping bags, etc. These items will be stored at Windrush and used to ensure all our Middle School students have the appropriate gear for their overnights.  Questions?  Please contact Rebecca Wralstad in the Division Office.
