Parents/Guardians are invited to learn about the philosophy and practices that exist in differentiated classrooms. Instructional Consultant Amy Symons will explain the concept of differentiation by providing a taste of it through experience, and participants will gain a better understanding of how it benefits student learning. She will discuss how differentiation is a contemporary development of progressive education and how it helps support students as they hone critical 21st Century skills. Amy works with administrators and teachers to improve teaching efficacy and student outcomes. She draws upon her experience in her own classroom to build rapport with teachers and to identify areas for growth. With Amy’s coaching, students are more consistently on-task and focused, and teachers report being happier and more committed. This event is free and open to the public.
