Tuition & Fees

The Board of Trustees sets tuition and fees yearly. A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of acceptance, with a second deposit due May 1. The tuition balance may be paid annually by July 1, semi-annually in July and November, or monthly over an 8-month period from July through March. Full-day and drop-in extended day programs are also available.

2011-2012 Tuition Middle School Grades 6—8: $22,456/year

2011-2012 Full Day Afterschool Grades K-8: $2,800/year

Tuition discounts are available for families paying on a semi-annual or annual basis.  Tuition for families paying semi-annually will be $19,711 for elementary and $22,206 for middle school.  Semi-annual  payments must be paid in full by November 1 of each attending year to receive the discount.  For families paying annually, tuition will be $19,485 for elementary and $21,955 for middle school.  Annual payments must be paid in full by July 1 to receive the discount.

We are fortunate to have in our beautiful and spacious campus an ideal environment for learning. To sustain our facilities, each new family is required to make a one-time payment of $1,000 to the Windrush School Building Fund. This fee is payable over the first year’s ten month tuition period. Families receiving tuition assistance will pay in proportion to the aid they receive.

Policy Statement

The goals of the Windrush School Tuition Assistance Program are:

  • to provide a Windrush education to children who might otherwise not be able to afford it.
  • to give children access to a learning environment where their contributions will be recognized, supported, and developed.
  • to assist in meeting the diversity goals of Windrush School.

Windrush School's admissions and tuition assistance are open to students regardless of gender, race, color, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or family structure.

Determination of Tuition Assistance Awards

Each application for admission is processed without consideration for the family’s need for financial assistance. The two processes are separate; applying for tuition assistance will not affect the student’s application for admission. Once a decision is made to admit the student, the family’s application for tuition assistance is considered.

The primary responsibility for financing a student’s independent school education rests with his or her family. Tuition assistance decisions are based on the financial information provided by parents/guardians.  Awards are limited by our resources and are disbursed so as to further the policy set forth above.

All financial information submitted in support of a tuition assistance application is secure and held in confidence.

New Families: For your application to be considered in the first group of tuition assistance awards and for you to be notified of the tuition assistance decision at the same time as the admissions decision, your tuition assistance application materials must be received by SSS/NAIS no later than January 24, 2011.

LATE APPLICATIONS MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED

Awards Process

1. The Tuition Assistance Committee meets to review the applications.

2. Letters announcing tuition assistance awards will be sent to returning students with renewal contracts and to new students with acceptance letters.

3. Return of the enrollment contract with the required tuition deposit constitutes acceptance by the parents/guardians of the tuition assistance award offered. The offer of tuition assistance expires, and the award may be given to another family, if the enrollment contract and tuition deposit are not returned by the deadline.
